Watching Television Can Be A Good Or Bad For You Essay

Watching Television can be a good or bad for you. It depends on what is being watch and how many hours of television being watch per day. Watching TV can also take away for physical activity if television is being watch more than 2 hours a day. Watching TV can be entertainment, educational, and violent. Children and adults tends to have a snack while watching TV. Most people can get obese from eating while watching TV. Macmillian â€Å"Some of them blame television for increasing rates of obesity among Americans. According to a 2001 report by the U.S. Surgeon General†¦Ã¢â‚¬ (1). They don’t get the proper physical activity throughout the day because they spend 6 hours or more watching TV. Being obese can cause health issue such diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart problem. Watching sport give the opportunity for people who are not able to make it to the game they can watch the game at home with family or friends. They can cheer for their favorite team and even have the food that are sold at the concession stand. If the game is missed it is a special channel ESPN that provide the highlights of the games. Game show’s is also entertaining because it gets you involve with the game by yell out answers at the TV and it can be educational like the game show jeopardy. Using a DVD player or a VCR bring entertainment because you can watch movie, recording of weddings, and video of you growing up.
